When history is made it becomes a piece of our world—our future. By understanding the multiple perspectives of our past we will develop the skills to anticipate what will happen in the future. We can contextualize the acts of the past and educate ourselves and others about the impact they had on society. Did they serve to advance the greater good of society? Were they detrimental to the common good? What action could have prevented tragedy? What more could have been done to further the cause of peace? We can appreciate how unpredictable the future may be, given unexpected and unintended consequences.
1804 Consultants provides instruction on how to:
- Decode complex history;
- Understand how individual motives and perspectives combine with multiple influences in shaping the future;
- Initiate action to change behaviors that we suspect will undermine the greater good of society; and
- Facilitate discussion to examine how today is tomorrow’s history.
